The Corporation is organized exclusively for the following charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and is formed to:

  • Foster meaningful relationships between children, youth and families of the Sudanese community in the Triangle area.

  • Educate the youth about Sudanese culture, folklore, and language.

  • Establish meaningful connections between the American public and the Sudanese community through cultural and social events and outreach.

  • Organize Sudanese culture and social events, and celebrate Sudanese heritage and traditions.

  • Acquire, establish, retain and maintain a fund or funds to be held, invested and used exclusively for charitable, educational or religious purposes.

  • Engage in any lawful act or activities related to the foregoing which are consistent with the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the Code.

  • The Corporation is not organized and shall not be operated for the pecuniary gain or profit of any individual.
